(Advance, NC) – Ted Budd for US Senate kicked off our Primary television ad campaign today with an ad best described as 30 Seconds of Cinematic Majesty. Technically, we ran it during the UNC first-round game last week, but today is when the heavy ad buy starts in earnest. Click here to watch it.

- reminds voters that President Donald Trump has endorsed Ted Budd for US Senate;
- points out that under the Biden Administration, the USA has border security problems, crime is rampant, and drug abuse is on the rise;
- reminds voters that the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) has endorsed Ted Budd for US Senate (see FAQs below);
- features really dramatic footage of Ted Budd walking along the Southern Border carrying a gun and promising to finish the Wall started under President Trump.
t’s really inspiring and will, no doubt, inspire Republican voters to vote for Ted Budd for US Senate.

What’s the National Border Patrol Council and why do you think NC voters care what they think?
Great question. The NBPC represents the non-supervisory Border Patrol Agents and support personnel assigned to the United States Border Patrol. These are the women and men who actually do the work securing our Southern border every single day. These are the same folks who the Biden-Harris Administration seek to persecute and scapegoat just for doing their jobs. These good people believe Ted Budd is the person who will fight the hardest to get them what they need when he’s in the US Senate. Below is an excerpt of what they said or click here for more info.
NBPC is proud to endorse Ted Budd for U.S. Senate because we know he’s got the backbone to get in there and fight for a secure border. Our members have been working to secure our nation’s borders for more than two decades and, too often, we’ve seen career politicians be willing to talk a big game whenever election season rolls around only to go soft in the knees when it’s time for action. Ted Budd is not that kind of politician. Ted Budd is the kind of leader who has been fighting since he was elected to build the wall and get the resources needed to safely secure our Southern border. We face a lot of challenges, and we know that Ted Budd will help us, not abandon us.

Any particular reason you chose this line of messaging for your first ad?
There’s pretty much universal agreement with NC Republicans on three things:
- NC Republicans love President Donald Trump (85%-12% FAV/UNFAV).
- NC Republicans believe border insecurity is our biggest problem.
- NC Republicans think Joe Biden sucks (5%-92% FAV/UNFAV – that’s even worse than Obama in the Red Wave of 2010).
So, we decided to roll the dice and directly tell NC Republicans that President Trump AND the hard-working women and men who do the heavy lifting on our Southern Border all think Ted Budd is the best candidate for US Senate. At this time in our great nation’s history, it doesn’t strike me that folks are looking for much in the way of nuance and subtlety.
